After five years, permanent residence may be requested, but on the condition that the foreigner has not been outside BiH for more than 2 months in each year during those five years.
There is no legally mandated minimum for purchasing property in Bosnia. However, we recommend considering properties valued at €50,000 or more, as this typically represents a solid investment with the potential for a good return. Taxes and other purchase-related costs depend on the property’s value. Applicable taxes range from 0.2% to 5%, in addition to notarization and registration fees, which are approximately €20–50.

Parents can qualify for residency after one year, or immediately if they are actively involved as directors in the investor’s company
The residency application process is typically straightforward and can be completed within 3 months. but the length of the procedure itself is not that important because immediately after submitting the residency application, the foreigner acquires the right to reside in BiH until his application is resolved.
